The experience ws electrifying, one of the most glorious occasions in President Benson's nearly thirty-five years as a member of the Council of the Twelve. In his journal he wrote: "Following the prayer, we experienced the sweetest spirit of unity and conviction that I have ever experiences. . . . We took each other in our arms, we were so impressed with the sweet spirit that was in evidence. Our bosoms burned with the righteousness of the decision we had made. Thank God for the inspired leadership and the great and enduring principle of revelation. What a blessing it is to be associated with this, the greatest work in all the world. May God grant that I . . . may measure up to the great responsibility which is mine as one of the watchmen on the tower of Zion."
