I have just returned from an expedition to the Indians of Utaw Lakes who have of late been killing our cattle we learned from them that they had killed seventeen head of cattle & one horse a treaty was made with them wherein they agreed to molest our cattle no more none of your cattle have been killed but we lost those oxen before we got to the valley & one since I have killed one of my oxen that I got at the Plat.
