Howard Stansbury offers assistance to Brigham in fighting indigenous Americans.
Howard Stansbury, Letter to Brigham Young, February 4, 1850, Brigham Young Office Files
Notwithstanding that your expedition against the Utah Indians is about to start today, I am anxious that you should have the order of everything I have. . . I have already furnishd [sic] all the arms I have together with such other things as Capt. Grant thought he should want. Should there be anything else at this late hour may occur to you I hope you will not hesitate to apply to me for it & should it be in my power, it shall be at your disposal. . . Wishing every success to the expedition.
