Saturday 5th. On account of the day being wet president Joseph remained at home He had a very pleasant visit from some of the Indians who were accompanied by a negro interpreter. They expressed great friendship with the Mormon people, and said they were their friends. After considerable conversation and partaking of victuals they departed evidently highly gratified with their visit.
