Moved to Jackson Co., Missouri, by 1833. Married second Elizabeth Davis Goldsmith Brackenbury, 3 Mar. 1834, in Clay Co., Missouri. Moved to Far West, Missouri, ca. 1835. Ordained an elder, 29 Apr. 1836, in Kirtland. Moved to Daviess Co., Missouri, Dec. 1837; to Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois, 1838; and to Commerce (later Nauvoo), Hancock Co., Illinois, 1839. Labored on Nauvoo temple. Ordained a high priest, Dec. 1845, in Nauvoo. Married third Magdalena Pickle, 21 Jan. 1846, in Nauvoo. Moved to Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, before 1850.
