We are not at home here in mortality. We are spirit children of Heavenly Parentage and the righteous long for that homecoming to their Eternal Parents. This is why the revelations teach that holy men "confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth" (Hebrews 11:13; see D&C 45:13).
