Jane Doe sworn declaration that John Harrod was their bishop and their doctor and saw them as a patient.
JANE DOE I et al. Plaintiffs, vs. THE CORPORATION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS et al., SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF COCHISE, May 2021
I [REDACTED] (formerly [REDACTED]), declare, under penalty of perjury that the following is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
1. I am a plaintiff in the above-captioned action.
2. I am very familiar with Dr. John Herrod. Dr. Herrod was the bishop at my church and he was also my doctor. Attached as Exhibit A is a photograph of the man I recognize as Dr. John Herrod.
3. Dr. Herrod performed my check-ups when I was younger. He would take me and my brothers [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] into an examination room. I remember sitting on a doctor's table with the crinkly paper. The room had cabinets and a sink. Dr. Herrod would take our temperature, measure our height, weigh us, and ask us questions about our general health.
4. I saw Dr. John Herrod for my check-ups with my brothers more than once before my biological dad, Paul Adams, was arrested.
5. I also recall Dr. John Herrod coming to our house before Paul Adams was arrested.
I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on the 25 day of May 2021.
