The recently completed Brisbane Australia Temple was opened for a media preview yesterday and will be open to the public until 15 June. The fourth temple in Australia cost $11.5 million, features 600 tons of granite and marble, and is topped with a statue of the angel Moroni. Ian Conwell of Phillips Smith Conwell Architects said the Church had gone out of its way to change plans so as to not upset neighbors. The proposed platform of the building was lowered by a meter, tiered gardens were placed around the landscape, and windows were triple glazed to keep noise in and out.
