It is true that the B. Y. U. is not and never has been connected with the "school of the prophets" [the University of Utah], but some of our learned seniors are intent on hiding their true personalities and assuming a righteous appearance by growing more or less prophetic beards, not that the beards will prophesy, but they will give the wearers that Old Testament appearance. . . . That brings us to the crux of the situation, the seniors are going to have a beard-raising contest.
