In the past there have been some confusion over penalties because of the word "expulsion." According to Dean Cameron, "No one is ever going to be expelled for dress standards." Cameron stated that there is a standardized language used by all offices of admission and by this standard language expulsion bars an individual from any other institution until he settles the problem with that school which expelled him. Dress standards violaters face "suspension" which means they are barred from the institution which suspends them for a specific period of time.
