Fayetteville. — This is a village in the town of Manlius, near the Erie Canal, with which it is connected by a feeder. A Presbyterian Church, consisting of twenty-three members, was organized, May 6th, 1830, by Rev. Messrs. Seth J. Porter, Ralph Cushman, and Hiram R. Kellogg, acting as a committee of the Presbytery appointed for the purpose. . . . From about a year after its organization till October, 1832, Rev. Erastus H. Adams officiated as stated supply. Rev. Ethan Smith labored here from November, 1833, til] April, 1844, when Rev. Stephen S. Smith came as stated supply, and remained about two years.
