It is a menace?

The persistent drive to make homosexuality an "accepted" and legal way of life should disgust every thinking person.

The claim that homosexual activity is the "right" of everyone who wants to live that way should only be seen in its true perspective. Is that way of life dangerous to other people? Is it really victimless?

Homosexuality is a menace to the population at large. It is especially so to young people, even to children. in the interest of protecting the rights of ALL the people it should be classed not only as a threat to the rest of the population but as a crime which can and does involve many others, bringing distress, sorrow and corruption in its wake.

The July 17, 1978 issue of Time Magazine points this up with statistics which show that the average male homosexual:

"Reported sex acts with hundreds of other men.

"Two-thirds of them had venereal disease," a thing which is spread as rapidly by homosexuals as by any other means.

"Forty percent of those men each had more than 500 sex partners.

"A quarter of them, as adults, and performed sex with boys under 16."

Can anyone say that homosexuality is a "victimless crime" in the light of these figures? Shall the right-thinking public allow such a menace as this to become "respectable and legal," or an acceptable way of life?

The same issue of Time reported under its medical section, a type of venereal disease which is hard to detect but easily spread among both men and women. Particularly it is dangerous in pregnant women since 40 percent of all babies "passing through an infected cervix acquire chlamydial infection."

The federal Center for Disease Control at Atlanta, Ga., estimates that there are up to 9 million American afflicted with this type of disease.

The magazine says: "Even worse, the infection can be passed on to babies during birth, causing eye infections and pneumonia."

Venereal disease, in all its phases, is a frightful menace to the general public. Millions are afflicted by it every week. It is spread by promiscuity of all kinds, one o the worst of which is the homosexual practice.

IN SELF-DEFENSE America must launch a major offensive for virtue, because that is the only real protection against these diseases of corruption.
