Brother Hyde speaking of revelations and tried to find in book of Doctrine and Covenants it was not [illeg.] to go in that book when those revelations compiled by Oliver Cowdery and others in Kirtland it was not wisdom to put that in it lay in private escritoire Brother Joseph had that revelation concerning this nation and that came by the influences of the brethren in their speculative views measurably and in their serious reflections with regard to African slavery on this continent and with the slavery of children [of] men throughout the world and after much deliberation and reflection etc. and being tolerably well acquainted with the customs of the north and south the Lord gave a revelation concerning slavery and it was not printed and published to the world this is all right there is revelations yet not published to the world[.]
