Died

In this city, October 20, 1871 of bleeding of the lungs, MORONI, son of Elijah and Mary Ann Able, aged 23 years, six months and sixteen days.

Deceased was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the year 1848; emigrated to Utah with his parent in 1853, was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ at eight years of age, and remained a faithful member. A few days previous to his death he desired the administration of the Elders, and was ordained an Elder, for which he expressed his gratitude. Through all his sickness he manifested a meek and humble spirit, and faith in the cause of Christ.

Let him rest; it is not often

That his soul hath known repose;

Let him rest; they rest but seldom

These who have disease for foes.

He was weary, worn with suffering,

His brow a crown of joy hath press'd

Oft with temples sadly aching;

He was weary; let him rest.
