[T]he order came that in every habitation where any of the endowment clothes were found, would be death to the inmates -- Olive Frost I remember came to tear to pieces the garments &c of the Doctor Law and Miss [Rhoda] Richards separated the parts and placed them among the articles of linen--one thing I remember as seeming singular that Wilson Law, and some of the others who had worn these garments, each week or times, but left them folded in their bundles, where they had been used in Joseph's Brick store, as the building was called, the meetings being held in the room above the store these men could not have access to take away these clothes or bundles but were asked to describe the garments so that the persons searching might know when they saw them these men would not give any description which these things could be known.
