The Gospel was first given to our parents in the Garden of Eden, and our Father Adam was told to teach repentance to His children and prepare them for an eternal salvation. This Gospel has been handed down from generation to generation for six thousand years now, and we are still preaching preparation and repentance to the people. We hope that throughout the generations of time we have gathered together enough righteous to accomplish the great work that God has for the salvation of His children, because we have all got to be saved in some kingdom or other. If it is a kingdom of glory then we will have made the grade, but if it is not a kingdom of glory, then we have got work to do. We have go to work to continue teaching. I say this because we are told that when Christ was crucified His Spirit went to preach to the spirits in prison—those who had died without law and without a knowledge of the Gospel is upon the earth and the servants of God are teaching repentance and preparation, if they receive not that testimony, it will be a long while before they have an opportunity ty accept the Gospel again. To put it in the words of our Savior to the Prophet Joseph Smith, “Go preach this Gospel to the nations of the earth, and all who will believe will be saves and those who will not believe will be damned.”
